Alastair Tan Jun Yu

Singapore Polytechnic 3rd Year Architecture Student

Since childhood, immersive spatial atmospheres and interconnected circulation routes have sparked in me a deep desire for exploration.

This fascination led me to begin my architectural journey at Singapore Polytechnic in 2023, where I have since developed a strong foundation in translating visionary design thinking into feasible structures through sustainable, maintainable detailing that respects local building codes.

As a deeply reflective, ambitious, and purpose-driven student, I seek to apply my insatiable curiosity and drive within architecture firms committed to creating building ecosystems that enable people to live well and thrive in harmony with nature.

I also have a secondary passion for science fiction writing, and I am currently working towards traditionally publishing a six-book series (learn more in the ‘Writing’ section).

In my free time, I enjoy exploring a wide range of hobbies, including photography, reading, and learning languages (Japanese & Spanish).
